After having to say “Tweet and blog” one too many times in conversation, I decided we need an all-encompassing term for “publishing content on social media.” I’ve settled on “bleet.” What do you think?

After test-driving several social media tools, my go-to picks for small business are:

Ping.fm because it lets me post to all my social networks at once and it’s free.
Pluggio (my latest social networking love) because it monitors RSS feeds + Twitter and lets me post to all my social networks at once. Free for the first 5 RSS feeds, subscription after that.
Digsby because it monitors my choice of social networks throughout the day and lets me IM friends regardless of the chat service they use.

How about you? Have favorites? I’d love to hear about them.

Add an Administrator to your Facebook Business Page

Or at least this works until Facebook changes everything around again …

1. Go to your Facebook Business Page.
2. Directly under your image in the top left corner of the page, click on “Edit Page.”
3. Find the “Admins” area about halfway down the right side of the page and click “Add.”
4. Enter the e-mail address of your new admins in the “Add Admins Via Email” box.
5. Click the “Add Admins” button.

Alternately, if your page has Facebook friends listed in the Add Admins window, you can simply click on their avatar and click the “Add Admins” button.

If you’re wondering why the site looks weird for the last couple of days, it’s because I’m moving to a new web host. It’s actually gone pretty well, but it’s one of those tasks with 5,286 steps. This kind of administrivia makes me crabby, but it had to be done. Wish me luck.
